People Behind the Projects at EPR Architects – Charlotte Partridge

Charlotte Partridge, Associate at EPR Architects, in safety gear at a construction site.

“I joined EPR as a Part I in 2012 and was lucky enough to start my career working on the development and renovation of 27 – 35 Poultry, now famously known as The Ned — igniting my interest in hotel conversion projects.

After completing my master’s, I was excited to return to the practice and in 2015 began work on The OWO; a sensitive repurposing of the iconic Grade II* listed Old War Office building. Under the guidance of the project director, I’m proud to now be leading the hotel element of the scheme for the highly anticipated Raffles London at The OWO.

The ongoing renovation has remained sympathetic to the building’s rich heritage, with key architectural features sensitively restored to create a five-star luxury hotel complete with restaurants, bars, boutique retail and a destination spa. Currently on site with an estimated launch date of late 2022, I’m looking forward to taking the project all the way from concept to completion!

In addition to working on many exciting hotel schemes, I help steer the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion group at EPR and participate in many Women in Construction industry events. I play an active role in supporting and mentoring junior members of staff — co-running the Part I mentoring group and providing one-to-one training and guidance on a day-to-day basis.”
