The practice of Dannatt, Johnson Architects has been responsible for work covering most aspects of building procurement: feasibility studies, master-planning, architectural design, project management and completion of buildings on site. The types of work include public and private buildings for a range of clients and a variety of uses: university and school buildings, community and the arts, service buildings and residential accommodation. In addition to designing new buildings, the practice has worked on the adaptation and restoration of historic buildings of international importance and on the conservation for community benefit of more modest yet locally valued structures. It is especially adept at fitting new uses and new buildings into historic and sensitive settings. Throughout, the work of the practice is informed by a concern for the resolution of client needs, the situation found and the means available.
