The practice has a textured modernist approach to design with a belief in the balance between the contemporary principles of space planning and a sympathetic approach to context through the selection of local materials and forms. As Frank Lloyd once said: 'No house should ever be on a hill or on anything. It should be of the hill. Belonging to it. Hill and house should live together each the happier for the other.' We don’t disconnect landscape from the architecture and aim to embed our buildings in their natural environment.
