Description

WE ARE SUNKEN BLIMP

It’s really complex to explain what Sunken Blimp is in a few sentences. Seriously, our elevator pitch works great at the Burj Khalifa … We have started exploring many different areas in architecture, design, artificial intelligence, agriculture, robotics, furniture design, virtual reality, augmented reality, projected reality, CGI, 3D printing, 3D scanning, and gin manufacture. Forever expanding, we do not consider ourselves a design studio, but a Vessel for Design Exploration. What this means is that here, anything is worth exploring and curiosity is currency.

THE STAGE

Curtains always up. This is our virtual stage where ideas are broadcast. There we host conversations, podcasts, presentations, and all types of events. Most important of all, this is where the community members can host their “Project Proposal”, showcasing to the rest of the community their submission for a design contest. Winners can get their project funded for prototyping and construction at the Sanctuary.

Stage Schedule

THE SANCTUARY

Prototyping is a crucial phase in any innovative process. With that in mind, we plan on aquiring physical land which we will call The Sanctuary. This will be the site for experimenting with  new construction techniques, sustainable housing, phygital buildings, robotic construction, new agricultural techniques and the Community Contest Winner’s Projects.

ROOMSHIP PROJECT

Fly your room around like it’s a space ship. This is possible through Roomship, a workflow for scanning a physical space and processing it as a virtual asset. This digital twin of the room is the main bridge that allows passengers to interact with the virtual world we are creating.

Passengers can connect their space to other rooms, collaborate with others, or change the environment they see out the window. Each room can be parked in a DOCK, a privetly owend virtual garage part of the Sunken Blimp Vessel.
