Wendover Partners is a multidisciplinary, design-led practice that brings architectural design and development together under one roof. Based in London, the practice sources distinctive sites, lets context define each concept, and designs contemporary buildings that pay tribute to their environment and history.
The studio is focused on delivering striking, sustainable, design-quality work while keeping equal emphasis on the full scope of development, including planning, contracting and programme management. Wendover likes to solve complex problems with simple ideas and strong concepts, and is not bound by convention or afraid to experiment. Its architecture aims to be generous and clear, with robust buildings and interiors and a strong emphasis on material quality built to stand the test of time.
When working with existing sites and buildings, the team takes time to understand historically layered contexts and respond appropriately, transforming buildings to reveal their unique qualities and adding to the communities around them. Wendover enjoys the making process and building long-term relationships with craftsmen, researching materials in depth and refining every detail until it is right.
