Inbetween Architecture

Inbetween Architecture specialises in residential architecture. The studio's portfolio includes new builds, renovations, extensions and refurbishments, with a hands-on approach that involves working closely with clients to develop bespoke designs that satisfy the brief and respect the budget.

Inspired by Debussy's musing that music is the space between the notes, the practice's approach to architecture focuses on the experience of the spaces created between the walls, floors, and ceilings. The team strives to design calm and accessible spaces that provide sanctuary from busy lifestyles. The architecture is beautiful to look at but, more importantly, a joy to inhabit; to live inbetween.

Inbetween Architecture was founded by John Liu in 2012, with Steph Richardson joining in 2015. The small team augments its capacity with like-minded specialist consultants when required. The studio is based in Mont Albert North, Melbourne.
