Keep the financial engine of a design studio running smoothly — managing the books that allow architects to focus on what they do best.
Who We Are
Architecture Social is a specialist recruitment consultancy connecting finance and operations professionals with architecture and design practices across the UK. We partner with studios of all sizes — from small design-led boutiques to large multi-disciplinary firms — and many of them rely on experienced Bookkeepers to manage day-to-day accounts, fee invoicing, and financial reporting. Through close engagement with practice directors and office managers, we maintain active shortlists so that when a Bookkeeper role opens at a design practice, your profile is already in the frame.
What Our Clients Typically Ask For
– Experience managing purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations, and month-end processes
– Familiarity with project-based fee invoicing, stage payments, and WIP reporting common in architecture practices
– Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
– Understanding of VAT returns, CIS submissions, and payroll processing
– Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate, audit-ready records
– Experience supporting management accounts and cashflow forecasting
– A discreet, professional approach with the ability to work independently in a small finance team
If you bring order to numbers and understand the rhythm of practice finances, we want to hear from you.
