I am a registered Architect who trained at Canterbury School of Architecture with 12 years experience working for a variety of Architecture studios in London & the South East.
I have worked at Hawkes Architecture specialising in bespoke homes in the open countryside achieving numerous complex planning permissions under Paragraph 79. During my time I worked closely with homeowner clients looking to build their own Grand Design. I have experience of designing and detailed Low carbon and Passivhaus buildings along with knowledge of renewable technologies.
I have spent the last 7 years as an Associate at award winning and renowned London practice Squire and Partners. I have gained significant experience on numerous large scale developer led projects including a masterplan for the Cathedral Quarter in Belfast. I have experience of large multi-unit Private sale and Build to Rent developments in Brent Cross, Belgravia, Greenwich and Clapham. I have experience of working on numerous feasibility studies to enable developers to understand viability of sites. I have also taken on the delivery of complex buildings leading teams through detailed design and on site construction in Design and Build contracts.
My expertise lay in sustainable residential architecture across all scales. From creating new neighbourhoods to large apartment blocks, bespoke homes, extension and renovations. I have a passion in community engagement and specialise in strategy and storytelling through drawing to engage the public and demystify and democratise the architectural and planning process.
I am a keen educator and mentor with a real desire to see a change to the process of architectural education. I have been a visiting critic at Canterbury School of Architecture and a practice mentor at London School of Architecture. I have spent the last 5 years mentoring students undertaking their Part 3 Architecture course along with mentoring for Blueprint for all (formally The Stephen Lawrence Trust)
