John Snow is a chartered town planner (MRTPI) and the founder of Tetrick Planning, a planning consultancy based in Waterloo, London, advising architects, developers, landowners and business owners across London and the South East.
He has around 16 years of planning experience across both the public and private sectors. John began his career at a local authority before moving into private practice, where he built detailed knowledge of complex and contentious schemes spanning retail, mixed-use and housing, as well as minerals, waste and land management. He founded Tetrick Planning to offer a direct, client-focused service, from permitted development and prior approval requests through to major applications requiring environmental impact assessment.
In this Architecture Social conversation, John explains what a planning consultant actually does, how planners and architects work together, and why Section 106 agreements matter. He makes the case for early, planning-led thinking, clear communication and realistic advice on difficult sites.
