Julia Nicholls is a communications strategist who has worked with architects and creative businesses for more than 25 years. She set up Julia Nicholls Communications after two decades in practice, where she led communications and marketing and left her last studio, Squire and Partners, as a director.
She helps emerging studios and established practices communicate with clients, collaborators and the wider industry in a way that is authentic and backed by real activity. Her work spans brand and tone of voice, messaging and content, client relationships, industry engagement and digital strategy, as well as studio culture, succession and attracting talent.
Julia is a champion for inclusion in the built environment, with a particular focus on engaging younger generations. She supports organisations including Narrative Practice and Built By Us, is an Associate member of the Thornton Education Trust and a mentor for We Rise. She has served as a juror for the RIBA and Inspire Future Generations Awards and mentored for the London Festival of Architecture.
