Maria Ramirez

Maria Ramirez is the founder and creative director of BB Interiors, an interior design studio working across London and Madrid. Spanish-born, she trained first in the history of art with a specialism in architecture before moving into interior design and later completing a master's in project management.

Maria grew up making and building alongside her family, and that hands-on grounding shapes how she works. She leans towards the architectural side of interiors, comfortable setting out spaces and reworking layouts as well as choosing finishes. She founded BB Interiors after seeing how often clients were left to stitch together architecture, interior design and styling from separate professionals, and built a studio that delivers projects end to end instead.

She leads a small core team and works closely with an in-house architect, taking projects from technical drawings and planning applications through to FF&E selection and final styling. Her approach is deliberately style-agnostic and client-led, spanning calm, contemporary interiors to richer, more characterful homes, with a focus on high-end residential work.
