A four-storey private residence in Wimbledon, completed in 2020. Spatial Affairs Bureau took on the project as interior designer and project manager, working through a historic family home of 4,000 sq ft on a 21,500 sq ft plot.
The interiors retain the character of the existing house while updating it for contemporary use. The hallway opens with natural light flowing in from multiple directions, anchored by a fireplace surmounted by Japanese woodcuts from a wider collection on display through the house. Decorative first-floor rooms sit alongside more traditional spaces, including a Green Drawing Room furnished with a deliberately contrasting selection of pieces drawn from elsewhere in the property.
