Bethany’s final Masters project named ‘Borðhald’ – an old Viking word used to describe a communal way of cooking and dining, sees the creation of an innovative Culinary Centre & Cookery School that acts as a means of heritage and food connection to the local area. The scheme aims to promote sustainable sourcing and production methods in an interactive and educational way, while championing local produce that the sea and land have to offer through activities such as foraging, harvesting, communal cooking and dining, instilling a cordial relationship between food, people and the landscape.
Bethany is a recent Masters of Architecture graduate after successfully completing her studies at Northumbria University in the North East. She is currently seeking an exciting new role as a Part 2 Architectural Assistant. Enjoying the creative and collaborative elements of practice, including hand drawing, sketching and concept development, she has a personal love for public design.
