About the Designer
Karolina Hejduk is a MArch graduate from the University of Westminster, where she graduated with Distinction. She has over 3 years of continuous experience in the industry as an Architectural Assistant at Atelier-SM Architects.
Karolina's final design project located in Havana, Cuba challenges the gendered division of space and time, rejecting the notion that streets belong to men by day and women by night. Drawing on the symbolism of the moon in Taino and Afro-Cuban traditions, ancient wisdom is connected to contemporary urban challenges to illuminate the unseen, bringing women's experience's to light of the moon.
