Issy Spence

Issy Spence recently completed her Architecture Master’s from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and is looking for a Part II Architectural Assistant role in London now.

Issy is deeply interested in socially and environmentally responsible design. Her thesis project uses the impending urban renewal of Lövholmen in Stockholm as a test-bed to disrupt and negotiate the short term nature of developers’ financial interest in the neighbourhood to a long term view where “Lövholmen is a place for all”.

Image: The waterfront is not a luxury commodity. By returning the waterfront to common ownership, the waterfront becomes a place for different qualities of space and for more than one thing to happen at a time.
