Long Bio:
Vasco Lima Mayer is an emerging architect and designer, running his atelier in Lisbon since 2018.
Growing up in a family of architects, Vasco de Lima Mayer learned from an early age to perceive the potential of architecture in shaping the soul of a place.
Closely observing the footprints left by his greatest inspirations and exploring their works with a keen interest, Vasco, born in Sintra, has always sought to forge a path exclusively his own.
After spending his childhood playing with wooden huts and Legos, he decided to take architecture more seriously by enrolling in a program at Instituto Superior Técnico, where he graduated in 2015. Working alongside renowned architects, including João Pedro Falcão de Campos, with whom he collaborated for two years, Vasco felt prepared to take the next step in his career: opening his own studio where he could put his name on the projects.
While never forgetting the essence of his artistic character and foundational principles, Vasco undoubtedly leaves his mark on every project he undertakes. Striving to create truly memorable spaces for their occupants, where refined design and functional comfort seamlessly coexist, the young architect approaches each project with meticulous attention to detail, believing that even the smallest elements hold significant meanings.
Driven by a desire to design projects that embody artistry from start to finish, Vasco, together with his friend and partner Sara Oom de Sousa, founded Fuschini, a furniture brand crafted entirely in Portugal. Through this venture, they combine architectural design with furniture design.
Today, Vasco Lima Mayer boasts a vast portfolio of projects, each with its own distinctive identity, yet intrinsically connected by the common thread of meaningful, passionate, and above all, spiritual architecture.
