James' final year project was the Working People's Club - a skills centre situated in 1980's Birmingham on a site adjacent to the former modernist Bull Ring Centre. The WPC sought to challenge the insular and exclusive nature of Working Men's Clubs; creating a centre that channeled the WMC's more altruistic roots.
James has recently graduated with Distinction from the MArch course at the University of Sheffield, and is now looking for work as a Part II Architectural Assistant in either London or Manchester. He previously completed an MEng in Structural Engineering and Architecture, and has a year of experience working at Associated Architects for his Part I.
