Carla Cabrera Fernández is an enthusiastic Part II Architectural Assistant specialised in Research-led Design. She’s got professional experience at BDP mostly in adaptive re-use, public and private sectors and small and large scale projects with BIM experience.

Carla’s thesis project is based in Oxford attempting to uncover the hidden part of the city whilst re-using an abandoned power station combining it with materials of other empty buildings on the site as part of creating the new design. This design collage methodology can be seen in the representation and design process which is a mix of digital (using 3D modelling and Adobe creative suite) and physical collage.
