Architecture Social rebate estimator

Recruitment fee rebate calculator

Estimate the potential credit if a placement ends inside the guarantee period. Add the original fee, salary, VAT position and weeks worked to see the likely rebate before eligibility checks.

Used when the original fee is calculated from salary and fee rate.

Add guaranteed bonus, allowance or other chargeable package value.

Use weeks worked. Four weeks falls into the 4 to 8 week band.

VAT
Indicative only. This calculator estimates the credit value, but signed terms, reason for leaving, payment status and any replacement agreement decide whether a rebate applies.

Start with the signed terms

The calculator uses a standard 12 week stepped rebate, but your signed terms, fee percentage and written agreement are the source of truth.

Check the reason for leaving

A rebate is normally a guarantee against an unsuitable placement, not every possible end to employment. Redundancy, withdrawal or payment issues may change the position.

Replacement may matter more

If the brief is still live, the practical next step is often a replacement search or revised shortlist rather than only calculating a credit.

Use this before a difficult fee conversation. Bring the signed terms, original invoice, start date, end date and reason for leaving. We can then confirm whether the calculation matches the agreement and what the sensible next step is.
