Description

Studio Egret West is an acclaimed and imaginative architectural, urban design, and landscape practice situated in Clerkenwell, London.

As storytellers, we prioritize sharing narratives about places before discussing buildings. We believe in taking a step back to understand the specific within the context of a broader strategy and the larger picture. Strategic frameworks, the interconnections between elements, and the spaces in-between that act as the binding force fascinate us. We recognize that our contribution is only a part of the story—places will continue to evolve long after we're gone, forever connected to something greater.

Our team reports high levels of happiness, which we attribute to our non-hierarchical approach, the supportive social environment we foster, and our commitment to encouraging and curating ideas. In fact, these are some of the reasons why we recently transitioned to an Employee Ownership Trust.

Our studio is a vibrant space brimming with inspiration and creativity. You may encounter colleagues cooking lunch in our open-plan kitchen, engaging in brainstorming sessions in our various creative spaces, or enjoying a pint from our beer taps at the end of the week.

At Studio Egret West (SEW), we place great importance on fostering a sociable atmosphere and offer numerous activities throughout the week. From "SEW and Tell" sessions and drawing classes to softball tournaments and weekly massage and yoga sessions, there's something for everyone. Additionally, we organize annual international studio trips and provide an enhanced pension scheme.

Continuous learning is deeply ingrained in our philosophy at Studio Egret West. We offer regular CPD sessions to support your professional development. You'll be part of a collaborative work environment that encourages the exchange of knowledge across various disciplines within the studio. The company is dedicated to assisting your professional growth, including supporting your pursuit of qualifications.

Studio Egret West is committed to equal opportunities. We actively promote awareness of EDI issues such as racial diversity, social mobility, and pathways to employment, both within our workplace and the wider industry.

Our team comprises individuals from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. We embrace and champion diversity and equality in the workplace, consistently seeking ways to attract and retain a talented workforce with a variety of cultural perspectives.

We're proud to have achieved a 50/50 gender split in our studio. We support women in their career success by offering flexible working hours, including core hours, hybrid and flexible working arrangements, and the option to work from home for those with caregiving responsibilities.
