Albena Atanassova is a Project Director in the Design Delivery Unit (DDU) at Scott Brownrigg, the global architecture and design practice. She joined Scott Brownrigg in 2014 and has worked across high-end residential and mixed-use schemes from both the client and contractor sides, focusing on project efficiencies and multidisciplinary collaboration to deliver well-designed, commercially successful developments. Her delivery experience includes large London residential projects such as Prince of Wales Drive in Battersea.
In this Architecture Social conversation, Albena unpacks the day-to-day reality of executive architecture: working alongside concept architects to deconstruct and optimise a design, then rebuilding it to perform better while staying true to the original vision. She discusses the skills the role rewards, from attention to detail and Revit proficiency to research and a zero-ego, team-first approach.
