Description
I am an Architect who is leading the architecture on one of Sellafield’s 3 mega projects.
In 2017 I became the youngest Fellow of the RIBA after being a Chartered Architect for 20 years. In 2018 I achieved Fellowship status of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA). I am now an ambassador for Architecture in the Civil and Engineering sector, having spent the last 11 years of my career in the Nuclear Industry. In my present role as architectural lead I’m working on a £800m + Nuclear Mega Project in Cumbria, UK of national importance.
My past project SMF was a government 'early adopter' scheme using Building Information Modelling (BIM) to deliver cost and schedule benefits for tax payer and has won many awards. I have led the use of BIM on this project and have a published article in November 2013 issue of "The Structural Engineer" titled, "BIM approach to a nuclear project: Sellafield Maintenance Facility".
I have previously worked in commercial practice in London, Leeds and Manchester. I have designed cancer centres, social housing, high bay warehouses, churches, offices and schools.
I am also an Artist who paints abstract landscapes in the medium of oil paints.
