Marc Turnier is the founder and managing director of Arcvelop, a London-based architecture practice and development company. A qualified architect, he combines design with hands-on development experience, an unusual pairing that sits at the heart of how Arcvelop works.
Marc studied architecture at Newcastle University and completed a master's at the University of Sydney, where he was nominated for a President's Medal. He went on to work at Foster + Partners and Allies and Morrison on large-scale projects, before moving into development with smaller property companies across London to learn the commercial and construction side of the industry.
He founded Arcvelop shortly before the pandemic, growing it from architecture commissions into a developer that designs, finances and delivers its own schemes, with a focus on design-led commercial conversions. Marc is a strong advocate for architects moving into development and mentors others looking to make the same transition.
