About

I am a Principal Lecturer, Academic Lead (Recruitment and Outreach) and Architect (RIBA, ARB) at the University of Portsmouth School of Architecture.

In October 2020 I commenced the Professional Doctorate in Education (EdD) at the University of Portsmouth. My research will focus on teaching and learning in Architectural Education.

I am the Programme Coordinator for 3 University of Portsmouth Undergraduate Top-up Degree Courses (Graphic Design, Fashion & Textile Design and Interior Architecture & Design), with our Collaborative Partner Caritas Institute of Higher Education (CIHE) in Hong Kong (HK). This role provides me with the opportunity to travel to HK and to work in partnership with CIHE staff and students.

I have always had a passion for doing things differently, whether in connection with education, teaching, architectural practice or sport.

In my work as a teacher and an architect I feel I am in a fortunate and sometimes unusual position of being able to combine the worlds of both academia and practice.

Away from work, I have competed for Great Britain as part of the Age Group Duathlon Squad and now I ride for Winchester cycling club VC Venta in competitive Time Trials.
