Here is Omar's final university project for the transformation of an abandoned residential tower, into a high-rise hotel in London. His project, 'Tropical London', focuses on providing a thoughtful response to the wellbeing challenges faced by Londoners on a daily basis, offering a space where people can reconnect with nature and themselves, and feel at home in the heart of the city.

About the Designer

Omar Paddam Sanchez is a Part 1 RIBA/ARB Architecture graduate from Ravensbourne University London. He is a dedicated, bilingual individual aspiring to design sustainable towers that go beyond architecture, creating spaces that prioritise mental health, and foster genuine connections with the local community. He is currently seeking a Part 1 Architectural Assistant position, and has completed a 2-week internship as a research assistant in an architecture firm in Gijón, Spain, this past summer.
