About

Ben Porter is Co-Founder of Remap, a London based digital transformation and software development consultancy for the built environment. A qualified architect with over a decade of experience across higher education, infrastructure and residential projects, he studied at the Manchester School of Architecture and spent around ten years at Hawkins\Brown, where he helped establish the practice's digital design team.

He specialises in computational BIM and automation, including the development of around 50 custom Revit tools at Hawkins\Brown covering everything from model validation to whole life embodied carbon calculations, with automation the team estimated saved roughly 3,000 hours a year. He also worked on estate mapping projects helping large campus owners understand and visualise their building assets.

In 2023 he co-founded Remap with Jack Stewart to bring that experience to practices, engineering firms and estate owners across the industry.
